If you’re one of those annoyed iPhone users who can’t leave home without a power bank, then you should read on. There is a secret setting on the smartphone responsible for the battery getting weaker and weaker.
A single click is often all it takes to extend your phone’s battery life. Better late than never!
This iPhone setting drains your battery so quickly.
Does it sometimes seem to you as if a tiny vampire is sitting in the case of your smartphone and sucking your battery quietly and secretly empty? Or how else can we explain the phenomenon of leaving the house with just under 100 percent battery and only a few hours later having already reached the limit? At the same time, owners of other smartphone brands brag about having charged their devices for the last time a few days ago.
This problem could soon be a thing of the past. A particular setting on the iPhone is the main reason the battery runs out so quickly. Ready? The magic word is “WLAN support.” That’s perfectly logical. Because that means that our smartphone automatically accesses our mobile data when our WLAN connection is too weak or very slow. And as we all know, this happens more often than we would like. So it’s no wonder countless percentages go down the drain when the iPhone constantly searches for the best connection.
How to deactivate the setting
Now you have to decide: do you want a longer battery life and a generally better battery capacity? Or would you rather surf the net in seconds and not waste time? After all, we’re already so impatient that it starts to boil inside us when a page takes more than a second to load completely. So it’s up to you to decide what’s more important.
So, if you have a lot of patience and care about your battery, try deactivating your WLAN assistant. And this is how it works:
Open “Settings” and go to “Mobile.”
Then scroll past all your battery-sucking apps to the bottom of the page.
If you see the “WLAN support” box and the slider is green, your smartphone will automatically switch to mobile data if there is no or an inferior connection to the WLAN.
Switch the slider briefly to the left.
Now we have to wait and see whether your battery lasts longer.
